First RX-8 KITS!!
Sorry that im going crazy today guys but i got nuthing to do and ive been meaning to post these pics for a LONG time. I found these on dome japanese sites. I believe they are fake but these are designs for the first possible kits for the RX-8. These came from the RX-7 magazines i think
1st: The Mazdaspeed Kit https://www.rx7club.com/forum/attach...&postid=712139 |
2nd: The Panspeed Kit

I think they're both photoshopped. And I think it was determined that at least the first one was part of a contest rx7 magazine was having, and it's readers photoshopped those and sent them in.
At any rate I still love the Mazdaspeed one. The panspeed one is just too "rx7 panspeedish" if you know what I mean. |
they really do look photoshopped
|
Photoshopped or not, a definite improvement on the RX-8. :D
|
They are photoshopped/altered, crashunit showed me these about 2 or 3 months ago I'd say
And too bad they use FD front ends but you can't do a great job w/o taking from another picture. I'm sure they'll be far more than just FD hybrid bodykits |
still kinda cool but not what the car needs. it should intresting to see what kinda kits will come out for that car!! hopefully nothing hurting like a big fish mouth front fascia!!(ho*da)

Those are "what if" illustrations. The anticipation in Japan is very high for the RX-8. I always thought the 8 was a front facia away from being a truly stunning car. There's another in issue 13 "Editor's Backfire" which mates the Veilside C2 kit with the F&F graphics. Not too bad, but not as good as the MS illustration.

damn... and I was all excited about that Mazdaspeed one... made me actually want a 4 door car.

What I was hoping to see with the first RX-8 bodykits was the return of fins. Can you imagine that? "My Rex has four doors and two, two foot fins!"
Perhaps the epitome of ricer mods originated in America--with this little farce. |
