FC, carpet has alot of mudstains, using a carpet shampoo machine?
 

My carpets are pretty muddy. I managed to get the floor mats clean throwing them in the laundry tub and scrubbing them, but the carpets are pretty bad still.

I'm renting one of those carpet shampoo machines for some of my hallway carpets in the house and was wondering how well it might work in the car. I don't want water to get trapped under carpets and mildew or rot out the floor boards but really want some cleaner carpets. :D
