Good news! We have a new vacuum machine that we can use to make dry carbon (vacuumed carbonfiber) parts. We plan to make the RE Amemiya AD hood 9 in dry carbon. You can expect the hood to be less than 10 lbs and it will be one of the strongest hoods on the market. Anyone interested?

where are you getting your dry CF from or your vaccum ovens? i cant find anyplace that will sell that kinda stuff.

 

Me me me me.......i ordered that hood a while back from someone that i won't name and got the run-a-round for quite awhile. How much and when is it do?

 

Yeh. I'd be very interested, but you have to give us an estimated price...and not jack up the price $500 when it's actually made. Would the RE-A hood come with rain guards like the Scoot hood?

 

It's not going cheap. Even the original RE Amemiya AD hood 9 does not come with dry carbon, only wet carbon.

The price will be $1450 as the group buy price if I can get at least 10 buyers. After the group buy, it will be simply not affordable, it's going to be $1850.

The worst case is that I have no buyers and I just make myself something that no one has. =)

RE Amemiya sells spoilers in dry carbon, for like twice the wet carbon counterpart sells for.
They might sell other stuff in dry carbon.
