driver side mirror is loose, how do you fix it

My driver side mirror is and always has been a bit loose, but its getting worse and I'm afraid that one of these days I might just go a bit too fast and it'll just blow off. How do you get to the screw/bolt that holds it in place? do you have to remove the interior door paneling to get to it? And I never knew if they folded in because I was too worried that they might just snap off because they're loose.

Grab the head of the mirror & turn away from body of car, the mirror head rotates exposing the screws you need to tighten.

DrPJM1 is right on the money.. thats how I fixed one of our club members car..

turn away...meaning, make the actual reflective part of the mirror itself turn so you can see it looking at the side of the car? i.e., driverside door, birds eye view, and turn it clockwise?

Why couldn't someone have posted this sooner. I've been driving around for a year with mine loose like that.

You didn't ask for a year :D

got it all figured out. Weird how it actually does swivel the "other" way, traditionally I'm used to seeing them flip inwards. Thx for the tip, tightened them all down, worked like a charm...
