You need to get the Bose Adapter from Crutchfield.

Of course Best Buy told you that you would have to rewire EVERYTHING and get new speakers ..like the ones they have on the shelf!!

I have seen a thread on this site that shows you how to wire a new deck to the Bose speakers and get the same performance.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

thats all shitty what they said...i bought a sony deck, wired the harness by my self, and it works fine. it turns on and sounds great with no rear speakers...i have a touring model and it don't seem to have any rear speakers...is that normal????

What do you mean by "rear speakers"? If you have the BOSE, you should have the tubing in the trunk, but the back panels on the touring don't have speakers, just a cubby thing. I think the base and R1 have speakers in the rear quarter panel.

Yes, you can wire a regular headunit to bose speakers. Yes it will produce sound. No it won't sound very good and it sure won't last long either.

I have a scosche adapter in my Maxima connecting my pioneer headunit to the stock bose speakers. Works very well.

I have the Bose adapter that Majik linked and it works perfectly. I used the two rear channels of my new HU to power the Bose "snake". Since my FD has no rear speakers, it worked out great! lol To turn up the bass, I just fade to the rear.

The Bose system in the FD consisted of a "bass tube" in the trunk of the car. It's commonly referred to as "the Bose snake".
