Corbeau CR-1's are on the way
 

I just bought a pair of Corbeau CR-1's from Motorsport Seats, along with a harness bar from RE.

The prices on seats from their website give you the retail price, but the price that Jeff gives you is a bit cheaper. I bought some black CR-1's listed at $399, and he gave me a price of $358 over the phone. Seat bracket listed at $85.75 for the FD, and he sold it for $77.

They sell corbeau, sparco, and cobra seats, along with corbeau, sparco, schroth, and crow harnesses. I ordered the seats yesterday afternoon, and Jeff called corbeau shortly afterward to check if they were in stock and the seats shipped out yesterday, due in next thursday shipped UPS.

So all in all I felt like I got some good prices from them, and damn quick service shipping out the same afternoon, compared to what you see from less expedient vendors.

Also, everything seems like its coming in together since RE shipped out the harness bar yesterday afternoon as well and is do in next week.

Motorsport Seats says they usually only grow by word of mouth, so I figured I'd give them a good recommendation here.

BTW, all seats on the site have a diagram with the dimesions of the seats so you can kinda tell what is gonna fit in your 7 or not.

I think the seats will look pretty good. It'll be a little different not looking at tan seats though. Yeah i graduated from there in august, but I go back for law school in the fall.

Tell us how they feel and fit when you get them installed. Also, I heard the harness bar from RE wasn't strong enough. Tell us what you think when you get it.

they are a bit wide for an FD. i know a guy that had them and the rubbed the hell out of his door panel.

Nice find. I'm a first-year law student as well. If I ever replace my seats (they're in really good shape), I'll probably go with the tan leather Sparco Milano 2 seats. They're pretty expensive ($1299 each), but they would look so freaking good in the car. Good luck with the seats and law school.

I have the same seats, They are great but they dont fit all too good.

The top of the seat will kinda hit the roof, the kedney bolsters are wider, and I cannot get the stock seatblets to fit, but good luck!!

I just use their 5-point harness, works great

I havent fully installed my yet, I just test fit them, I had to order harnesses to install them, I can get some this weekend

They fit well...a tad bit wide, but the door still closed without any problems. They sit a little higher, too, which takes some getting used to. Stock seatbelt harness bracket is a little tricky and doesn't fit that great. Seats are comfortable and provided good support. The plastic cover for the recline mechanism will need to be taken off or modified to get the seat to fit in and still have the ability to adjust forwards/backwards. It's not a setup that you're going to want to adjust a lot, as it really takes a lot to adjust anything. It kind of digs into the plastic molding down by the recline mechanism, making it hard to move all the way backwards, or move front to rear in general.

Thanks for the information! I was thinking about getting Cr-1's so I wanted to know how fitment was.

I just installed mine today. First off, they dont hit the door panels at all, they have a half inch clearance actually. Second, mine do not hit the roof. They have good clearance from the roof actually, only two or three inches higher than the stock headrest. As for ride height, i am probably sitting about a half inch higher. I drive with the seat slid all the way back since I'm 6'1 and reclined pretty good. The recline works decent, not too much trouble there. It is difficult to slide the seats on the rails though since the leg bolsters rub the center console. But, I'm the only one that ever drives my car, so I wont be adjusting the seats anyway. My waist is a 33-34, and they recommend only up to a 36, but a 36 inch waist would not fit in these seats well, and neither would someone with love handles. At first they are kinda tight, but once you sit in them for about 30 minutes, the foam softens up to form to your sides.

All in all I think they look great in the car, I would recommend them if you wanted some replacements for stock. I have a tan interior, but i like black seats much better now. I'm still waiting on the harness bar from rotaryextreme, and that should be in tomorrow, so I'll take some pics after thats installed.

They hit the doors on my car up by the shoulder region, but not bad. Only enough to make an imprint into the door panel. I had a lot of trouble with the sliding portion...maybe they redesigned the seat or the bracket to make it fit a little better :)

Haha, well I guess I'll just have to stop by a dealer and see if I can do a test fit. Thanks for the information guys!
