I can get one for you. PM me

sonix7 02-03-06 08:51 AM

Ding! I am here. I can do the dash for you, I am custom wraping some FD door panels in the 2 twill CF as we speak. That should give everyone a true idea of my work. I appreciate the shot outs from all you other members, I must be doing something good:) PM me if you need my help. I ensure that my quality is top notch with my own eyes and hands.:icon_tup:

Oh BTW I suggest covering the dash. To make a mold you will lose all oem clips and fasteners and honestly may not be as good depending on how good the mold is. Are you doing this for weight savings or asthetics? I imagine if someone does not already have a mold for the FC, then its going to cost big bucks to make one. To cover it is going to be significantly cheaper. anyway just thought I would add that.:) :icon_tup:

the Fc dash doesnt have any fasteners all the have is holes for the screws to go in and hold it tight... i mean if you would be able to do a cover for teh dash that would be good too and just put it on with 3M DS tape... but i would want the cover to cover the whole dash you know... worse to come to worse if you or someone would be willing to do it and price would be good i would send you dash to get a mold and you would even be able to keep it for future molds

also wen you said your custom wraping the fd door panels is that liek keep the stock but put some Foil/Wrap/Tape to make it look like its carbon fiber?

tidbit 02-03-06 02:27 PM

how do you get the resin to stick to the panels.. seems to me it wouldn't stick that well..

Xeros 02-06-06 08:53 PM

Dude.....ummm tell me Sonix7, where are you getting you carbon at the momen?, There is quite the international shortage of carbon right now....a lot fo of the suppliers I call say that they are dead dry for it right now..and a lot of the sites are sold out...I was planning to remake my FD dash in carbon to save weight and then some otherstuff.

FD4LIFE908 02-08-06 03:59 PM

yes, jon from new jersey. go ahead, try and ruen me because of your fenders. its ok though, i cant please everyone.

FD4LIFE908 02-08-06 04:03 PM

Hey John, Not me bro! I spoke to many times before about your work, you seem like a nice guy, last time I spoke to you was about doing some work for me, you told me you were too busy and in a few months would get back to me, I never heard from you again. I asked you about a GB on the forum and everything. All I got was the run around, actually I would like to thank you. You not being able to do anything for me prompted me to start this on my own. Then recently some guy contacted me about some fenders you were doing for him and he was having problems. I stuck up for you and told him you were legit and I had talked to you before. I have no idea why I did that, considering I don't know you from Adam. You seem defensive? you do good work, but I welcome the competition. good luck to you man.:icon_tup: Yes there is a shortage but I stock up, the prices are rediculously high right now though. I go with the best price on e-class fiber. hope that helps.

Valkyrie 02-09-06 11:07 PM

Hmm... carbon seat...

a custom-fitted seat would not be all that hard to make out of carbon fiber, I think.

It would be time-consuming, though.
