Brushed black metallic wrapped 93 plastic

So I have been debating on what to do with my interior. In an attempt to modernize without making is cheesy, I am thinking of wrapping with brushed black metallic vinyl. What do you think?

Pics, Please note the imperfections are all in the paint below and will be fixed!

Been considering something like this as well. I was thinking satin black or DiNoc carbon fiber(probably a bit much), the brushed looks nice, but pretty shiny/reflective? Or is it just the picture? I read the brushed metallic vinyl likes to tear along the grain, any problems dealing with it?

I haven't had any tearing issues, it seems pretty easy to work with. It is more of a satin, definitely not that shiny. Most of what you see is the flash. I really dig the luster and pretty sure I am going to buy more and continue on.

Ok, flash makes sense. Looks like it could turn out nice with out being too flashy. I need to order some samples, looks like a good idea. BTW, what are you using to remove the 93 finish? I have heard of several methods, just wondering what you're using.

I soak a paper towel in Lacquer Thinner and lay it on the finish for a minute. Fumes work in and pull it off. My only concern is wrapping this stuff, going to be kinda pain.

Yeah, good luck to us both. The gauge hood alone looks like it may take several hours to get right.

i wrapped my interior palstics over the weekend. i thought about doing them brushed but i just kept it simple and did them satin black and they came out great! the guage hood wasnt too bad either just take your time. i could post pics if youd like.

What material did you end up getting for the black brushed?

I got a sample of the 3M stuff and there just seemed to be too much "glitter" in it.

That's the look I was going for. Is it any different once wrapped on in the car?
