Bose help. i DID search.

after doing numerous searches, i couldn't find anything. my stock 93 bose cd player doesn't work. it did work before but recently i disconnected the battery and now when i put a cd in, it just spits it right back out. i tried entering a code for it but that didn't work. any help please? thanks

Sounds like typical Bose CD player failure. Mine's the same way.

Mine did the same but only sometimes and mainly with newer cd's, so I gave up and bought a millenia bose headunit and will be installing that. I know Bose will also fix them for you but I am sure it would cost more than it is worth at this point.

i change my head console with a Panasonic one, keeping the bose system "the speakers" and adding an extra 12" sub

This may be of help:

But really I think Google and searching in the audio forum will yield the best results. Bose headunit failures aren't exactly rare and they certainly are not limited to 3rd Gens.

Repair Shop

I had the same thing happen to mine about three years ago and I sent it off to be repaired and I haven't has a problem with it since. The price was around 200.00 and that was including the shop taking it out and reinstalling it. I found this link on one of the sites where they actually repair the Bose systems.
