what do you mean without fenders? it's a widebody kit, the fenders won't line up to the front bumper if you don't buy the fenders as well. and that site does not sell the rear bumper, so how are the wide rear fenders supposed to lign up to the stock rear bumper?

don't forget, you'll also need new rims to go along with the kit.

Nope. Here's a pic without the fenders:

I should know a little bit about it; the whole exterior of my car is going to be based on that kit. I have talked to memoryfab about importing the kit and i have a price quote :D NOW i just need to come up with the CASH :D

Is that the same kit, but in a non-widebody version? Or do the widebody fenders just come in to meet the front bumper?

Either way I love that kit. It's so clean. Good luck with it.

apex_sideway 12-18-05 07:35 PM

Yes, memoryfab can get you the four piece kit (front, sides, and rears) for about $2,300 and that's with shipping. The front and rear fenders are quite expensive, pushing the price up around $3,000. Also, the widebody fenders are a special order item that has a waiting time of 3-6 months. It (rear and front fenders) is only flared out at the part where the wheels would extend.

If anyone wants more info on the burnout kit go to www.ks-auto.com . . . . :D

I've seen a video of that car, and it definitely is disgusting...

But if I remember correctly it's also something crazy like 4 rotor turbo...

Actually, I believe that they took the rear from the Nissan 390 GT1 and the front was modeled after the Carrera GT. Scoot did change the tail lights a bit from the 390, but i am still a huge fan of this car! They used to have all this info up on their page before they shut it down to redo the whole thing.

Here is a link, but all you can see is the 4-rotor motor.

This is a good thread for people looking into body kits and should be bookmarked if not stickied. Nice pics guys!

Stupid question: When installing aftermarket fenders, does the installer have to cut the fenders from the roof of the car, seeing as it is one piece? Or am I wrong and is it not one-piece? Is the fender flare just added on? Bare with me, I'm a new FD owner.

Right now, I'm liking the Chargespeed widebody (hence the question above) for its clean looks and price. Here's some pics:

Oh, I forgot, if you didnt like the SCOOT Fd before, you are going to hate it now! Dont blame SCOOT for the body kit, here is a link to the place that actually made it.
