body filler and paint question

Aloha all,

just doing some temp repairs to the car until i repaint the whole thing in a while.

I just refitted a rear skirt that had come off and "molded" it on. Not perfect but for my first attempt it is alright i think.

My main question to the painters around is ,, does the bondo soak up the paint for the first few coats? I sprayed 5 coats of color. Did not put down any primer or sealer ( as i said, kinda temp repair, and i only had white here)
I went and looked at it aftera few hours and the areas that have been filled with "mud" have lost the gloss finish the rest of the piece has. Is this going to be a constant issue because i did not use a primer/sealer,.. or will this stop as it has now taken in what it will?
Here are some pics of the work earlier today. It is dark now and i can get pics of the gloss contrast tomorrow.

Also,FWIW: It started pouring rain 20 minutes after I sprayed my final coat. And this is being done in my high dollar Costco Gravity darft spray booth:D So the moisture level went thru the roof I bet. If that has a roll in any of this.

Thanks in advance all. Feel free to critisize if you feel so inclined. The color contrasted alot more than it did inside the enginebay. And they matched as close as possible. The whole car is going the new color soon.

You have to primer it. Use the primer to fill in the really small holes in the Bondo.

My three year old Daughter wants to type as well

yeah i knew i should have primer sealed it, but i only had a white here. and i thought that would be to bright of an undercoat. Oh well. live and learn.

However, i went out and sanded the surface imperfections and the whole area is know a nice even scuffed shade. The main problem was not holes in the bondo, i had most of those smoothed out prior to paint. The issue was that the bondo seemed to absorb the paint or soak it up. Now that the color i sprayed yesterday is absorbed, i think it will act as the sealer for the next coat, we'll see.

again this is only for temporary until i respray the entire car. Just haven't driven it in 3 years so i am anxious:D

i tried your daughters advice... it worked awsome!! tell her thanks!:D
