A better way of rear widebody fenders?

My plans for my fd are to autocross the car and be able to drive it whenever. Currently, i have the whole burnout kit including the rear wide fender add ons.

my question is;

Should i not use the rear widebody add ons because over time they will crack?

or

Should I have it rolled by the body shop?

or

Should I have the body shot cut 3 cuts in the fender, pull it, and reweld it?

Thanks guys

Zak

I was going to have a fabrication or motorcycle shop make me replicas of the rear in metal to have welded in, but from what I understand, the rear is not effected as badly as the fron. So selecting proper size wheels and tires will help more and save you extra money.

I had custom metal fender work done and it wasn't cheap. IMO that's the only right way to do it. Otherwise you're dealing with tons of filler and FG which expands at a different rate than the metal on your car. Not to mention how vulnerable that type of mold work is.

I had the Burnout rears replicated in steel. It cost me over $580 from a custom metal fab shop, I'll let it go for $450 shipped. Pm me if interested.

Molding your rear fender with Fiber Glass and body filler will definitely crack over time.

My advice: sell them for $580 plus shipping. You have a one of a kind item, don't low-ball yourself.
