Any interest in this hood being made

I'm looking for a hood simply with the center intake, I can do without the FEED flairs in the rear of the hood .

There was some interest before on the Shine FEED hood thread...any more now? No functionality to it, just for looks. If there is enough interest (15+) then there is a possibility of it getting made.

Essentially the scoot hood without the openings. Yes, I know I can buy a hood and have the holes covered but it would be ultimately cheaper if it was made in quantity by a professional vs me buying the hood, finding the right body guy, paying for labor to hopefully get it right.

Shot in the dark. Attached pic is from the Shine FEED hood thread where the initial interest was brought up...

For the V8 guys, the center opening will fit my throttle body and air intake...as some of you with scoot hoods have proven on norotors.com and the old v8rx7forum.com

I've been wanting one of these for quite some time. I've come to the conclusion that it would just be easier, cheaper, and better fitment to use the stock hood and mold in a viper style hood scoop http://www.yourhotcar.com/product/li...s/Hood_Scoops/

This is just the first google link that popped up, you can get the same type of scoops for much cheaper elsewhere.

Not sure if this meets your LS clearance needs though.

I've seen that and actually have seen some RX7s with the viper scoop. Problem is, I don't want the scoop to look like a viper scoop.

I suppose I'll probably end up buying a cheap stock hood and experimenting on my own. Shouldn't be hard to cut the opening style I want and fiberglass a base so its not just a big hole.

Really wish it could be made so I don't waste the time and money playing around.

looks really nice..would be good in carbon or kevlar for that hardcore look!!

E- I have a beat stock hood I was going to scrap. Needs paint and apparently at some point in life swung up hard (the points nearest the windshield have creases in them).

If you want it for experimentation it is yours if you can get it from my storage unit to your hacienda.

Thanks man! I may take you up on that if there isn't any movement on this. I'll need to get some tools (always a plus) to cut metal. :)

How's your project coming along. Think about a meet in August...posted a thread in SE section.

You could probably get away with just a dremel to cut the hood, its pretty thin. Just be careful with whatever you use, the skin of the hood can warp pretty easily with heat.

What kind of scoop are you thinking of going with? You mentioned you didn't want a viper style scoop, but isn't that pretty similar to whats in the pic above?

The car in the rotaryextreme.com intro is what I'm looking for. blends more with the hood vs viper which is bolder. More like ferrari maranello hood

E- actually just stuck your spare on it this past weekend getting ready to move it. I'm having a buddy look at the two areas that concern my with rust. If he says no problem then game on. If not, I'll just sell it to someone else for the remaining parts and pick up another shell/roller. At this point in time I have an engine, trans, and full interior. I just need an AC, IC, and single turbo setup all things considered equal.

So you know...about 3 more years of work on it. ;)
