Are all Aero kits really the same or not?

So I'm finally getting to improve my 7, and as part of going single turbo, I want to give it some breathing room with a vented hood and different front bumper.

I've been doing some research and reading, and it seems unless you are buying an authentic Japanese piece, they are all FRP, with perhaps a new name, and are all made in China.

Is that about it? I've tried to call and talk to someone at shineauto for about a week, but have got no answer. I talked to a guy at Chase Aero and he implied as much. I'm not expecting that they may need some body work done. Just would not like to pay double for what is likely the same thing.

I'd appreciate to hear anyone's experience with these type of product.

Its only my opinion but the amount of heat waves coming from my vented hood has to release a lot of heat from the engine bay.

My 99 spoiler looks good,yes....real benefit probably.

Ken from Shine auto called me a while ago. Says they manufacture everything in house.

Still trying to get idea from people what their experience has been.

Thanks

If your looking for a vented hood try to find one that comes with a rain tray or you will have to spend extra time/$ on that.

Found a new way to dream and kill time:

ALIBABA

Damn I have found carbon fiber, FRP, etc hoods and front fenders, the exact one's I want. At least on 4 different Chinese companies which produce a majority of all aftermarket parts that we likely buy through a third party.

I am inquiring about purchase price and shipping to see what that's like. Some say they will sell single piece, others 5-10 at a time.

I'll let you know what I find out.

Still anyone who has used these, any feedback at all, experience, etc?

Well, Alibaba seems to be a dead end. Hood and Front bumper are much cheaper, but shipping is prohibitive.

Looking for options for the hood. The front bumper I'll likely get at chaser aero.

If you buy a front bumper from chaser aero you had better be prepared to do a LOT of work to make it fit and look good.

Shine auto parts fit very well. however any frp product, bumpers especially will need professional fitting to really look prefect.

Shine does make their products in house. They let you your the production in their huge warehouse if you're local. Just test fitted a bumper for install and the fitment is pretty damn good.
