99 spec turn lights

are they powerful enough to use at night w.out the true headlights? i bought some replicas on ebay - can i replace the bulbs w. something else to use at night so i dont have to use the headlights?

The Reflector isn't large enough unless you have something "Hella" Pun intended bright... like HID's... which will get you pulled over since the true HID's have a cutoff shroud at the top that gives them the funky colors purple/blue, and keep people from running you off the road for blinding them....

No. They're used as "city lights" (basically so other cars see you) and turn signals.

Headlights are meant to be used so ppl can see you, and you can see the road or any objects that might be in your path, etc.

Turn signals/city lights/parking lights are NOT a good way of being seen, even in the dusk/pre-night time.

Never understood why ppl do that.

Bad idea to use the turn signals as your headlights.

They aren't high enough, so people will not see you behind them. And given the lack of height/beam adjustment, you can't focus the light properly to really light up the road properly. You'll end up not seeing road debris or a low curb, and you'll destroy stuff...

Don't do it...

i have hid's in my turn signasl and they still arent bright enough at night, especially without street lights.
