Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; choose what you want for your car . . . .

If you want my answer, check my sig :D If i wasn't so damn poor i'd have it installed!

sevensix 11-14-07 11:28 PM

burnout hangs too low if u don't have sides and makes the car look off balance

BigWillieStyles 11-14-07 11:56 PM

pics of both please

turBRO240 11-15-07 12:03 AM

Same dillema for me

YOUWSH 11-15-07 12:07 AM

I'm also interested in the Burnout kit. Any cheap places to get them?

money 11-15-07 12:09 AM

its cost about 450 for burnout kit. or something. . by the way, i wish i have 2 fd. lol. i like both bumper. but really hard to pick one.

pwwatkins 11-15-07 01:58 AM

One thing that persuaded me in the direction I went was if you get a 99spec bumper, you know fitment is going to be perfect.

money 11-15-07 03:57 AM

not true, you will have trouble with the 99 spec signal turn. unless you get the rebar too. then perfect.

the entire burnout kit itself, if thats wat your referring to, is around 3.5k+ if your lucky you might be able to catch an e-bay deal of some sort with a replica of the burnout front or rear bumpers. usually priced at around $400-$500. those are the only pieces they carry. someone on the forum made a knock-off of the entire burnout kit(not including mirrors). if you seach, you will be fortunite find it. i tried but with no luck...

I love the burnout kit, but there is something so nice about the '99 spec.

I'd probably choose the '99 spec first.

NTIMD8 11-15-07 07:40 AM

99 Spec with the stock black lip, black feed side skirts and black RE rear diffuser (old style). That would be my choice. And maybe C-West lights.

Since they are both very good looking front ends I say base your decision on hoe practical one bumper is vs the other.

Go for the 99 spec because of it's fitment and polyurethane properties.

Narukas 11-15-07 10:31 AM

As NTIMD8 says - 99 with feed sides

purerx7 11-15-07 01:25 PM

i have the burnout front, fitment was overall okay needed to do a little work but i was expecting that. It does NOT hang that low to the ground, my feed bumper hanged lowered than the burnout.

personaly, i like the clean look. nice looking fd you have there, purerx7!. how is the installation on that bumper?

fist302 11-18-07 09:19 AM

purerx7
Very nice, can we see more pictures?

purerx7 11-18-07 09:45 AM

install was pretty straightforward, the same as any other front bumper. My only complaint is that the front bumper and the fenders could have had lined up better, but that might be because of the r-magic front fenders and not the bumper. Dont want to hijack but heres a few more pics of the car.

very nice fd right there. by the way, so the fitment of the burnout bumper does not fit perfect?

purerx7 11-19-07 10:26 PM

Thanks! the bumper didnt fit perfectly, but neither have the last three of my after-market bumpers. Mine needed work around the fenders, but it did fit really good along the edge of the hood and the bumper. Even authentic bumpers aren't going to fit perfect, everything will need work, this bumper required the least amount of work of the bumpers ive had.

money 11-20-07 12:47 AM

ic, but mine fenders are stock. so do you think it will fit perfectly?

null. 11-21-07 07:04 PM

99 spec bumper if you have stock fenders

burnout bumper if you get the fenders too
