300-400$ FD Seats?

I’m looking into buying some aftermarket seats for my FD, I’m not too familiar with good vs bad seats. I do know they can get quite expensive. I’m just after something non leather, I’m not track racing it or anything so I don’t need anything too fancy, and I would like them to be reclinable. So is there anything in the 300-400$ per seat range for something like that? Oh and I would like them to fit, I don’t want them hitting my door. Thanks for any help!

Refinish the stock seats and retain the value of your car. :bigthumb:

Comfortable, reclinable, fit properly and they even have the seatbelt guide built in.

I was honestly thinking that lol if I could get some affordable quotes I’d do it in a heartbeat, everything I’ve seem tho is like 600 and up per seat? But please....if I’m wrong, correct me lol

Second on refinishing your OEM seats. Anything that cheap in the aftermarket segments are not worth putting in your car. It's a safety issue.

i never thought of that, which is a very true statement. So I think that’s what I’ll do, just look into getting them redone, cuz they feel great, I have no complaints about them

I used to thiunk so to but the safety feature is mostly the belts. If you crash, the seat does nothing else butact as a mounting point for your seat belt strap.

I actually had my seats reupholstered from tan to red at a local body shop for $800 for both seats (also has the rear pockets!). It was also through a friend hook up, so you can definitely find an auto-upholstery shop for less than $1000 a set.

EDIT: I used synthetic leather (which they recommend - easier to clean, lasts longer). If you want genuine leather, it may cost more. Honestly I would not be able to tell the difference =)

i was actually leaning away from leather, while it looks amazing I’m not 100% sure I want it yet. But my mind could def change. Do you have any pics of your seats? I’d like to see how they turned out!

Oh damn those look real good...making me want to go the leather route 😂

Thanks! Inspired by the Spirit R Recaros that I couldn't afford, plus the reclinable and comfort of OEM.
