2 12" Subwoofers

Hey everyone. I've been reading the boards for awhile now, an FD is one of my choices for a car in the future. Right now I'm about to buy two 12" alpine type r's to throw in the back of my passat. I'm curious as to if its easy/possible to fit two 12s in an FD. I don't want to spend all this money for a decent sub/amp combo and not be able to switch it over not far in the future. Thanks.

2 -12inch type r's would fit with a creative use of a sealed box.

I have 1 - 10 inch infinty perfect, with about 250-300 watts of power in a little sealed box, and its WAY too much for the FD even.

2 - 12's would be murder.

i had two 12" diamond d6's in the back of my fd, my good god it was loud, to the point i thought my rear windshield was going to crack...i hated it it was just too loud and im 19. Anyways, im more of a SQ person and am awaiting the new Seas Lotus sub that is supposed to be released this summer. But if i had to choose at your price point i would get a Fi sub, pick your model depending on what you want, as they are a much better value than the type r's.

Thanks for the help. I'm looking for a mix of both sql and spl. My local shop undercuts a lot of stuff so I'll be getting the type r's in a ported box for about $315. I'll take a look at some fi subs though, I've heard good things about them. I was just told by my shop that for my money, the type r's are the best.

I haven't had a system in a car yet, can't you just turn the sub levels down or is always overwhelming with 2?
