Accounts are not deleted. If you are not interested in participating, then you just stop visiting.

I looked at your threads and I didn't see any really negative responses. What I saw was people trying to help you to understand what it means to rebuild these engines (especially in your situation where the rotors, housings, and apex seals are probably trashed), give you advice on sourcing parts for less (getting a core engine), and also some info on why it blew, so you don't spend the time/money on a rebuild and have it blow again due to something external to the engine.

I know the responses you got were probably not what you wanted to hear, but most of us have been down this road and we are trying to help you based on what we have learned. Rebuilding is a good leaning experience, but can also be very expensive and frustrating (bolt that won't come loose, finding more and more parts that need replaced, finding the additional parts/waiting for them/installing them, testing the external stuff, getting the wiring/hose routing correct, etc.). It can quickly become a money pit and suck up all of your time. Expect it to cost more and take much longer than you estimate.

For parts, you might have an initial guess on what you need but you don't really know until you dig into it and clean/measure parts. You are usually best off when you plan for the worse and hope for the best. Set your budget based on replacing everything and hope that you don't actually have to.

Anyway, just some advice from someone who has been around these cars for 20+ years.

I understand that they were trying to help (in a way), but rebuilding is really my only option. No shops will do it, and buying another engine off of auction is extremely risky, plus I have nowhere to keep an extra engine just laying around. I said this multiple times, and people just kept continuing to tell me to get a shop to do it or swap in something else, then it went to sarcasm when I said a Power FC is expensive, and so on. Is there a way I can delete my posts then? I tried, but I can't seem to find an edit option

It's the world wide interweb. Nothing is delatable

If you are in JA, there's probably a lot of resources to help you outside of this forum. Bottom line is the cost of FD ownership is much more than the cost to buy in

And you actually got some good advice that wasn't flaming. You may want to go through it and ask for more guidance if you dont quit get it

I know you said you've tried several shops and none of them want to do a rebuild........were they rotary based shops???? Your run of the mill shop will definitely offer to swap a engine in cause seriously how hard is that. But they definitely won't want to rebuild it especially since they don't know what they are doing . Most shops work on piston engines only. Yes even in Japan . What is on your side is that you are in Japan home of some of the most legendary rotary race teams and shops...... Hint hint . If your gonna end up spending the money either way spend it with a reputable rotary shop. .......... Everyone here is trying to save you money....... Rebuilds are expensive and can be even more expensive if you mess something up in the process. Hell it might even be cheaper to order 2 engines and take a chance then it will be to build 1 engine full of bad parts. But if you must rebuild expand your search it will be worth it in the long run.

A rotary specialized shop would be realistic if I was around Tokyo or something, but not where I am. That'd be like going to some redneck trailer park town in Georgia and asking if there's a rotary shop around. One redneck might emerge and tell you he works on tractors, but that's about it

hmm.you live IN Japan but can't get anyone to steer you in the direction of someone that has a Rotary engine?.Wow.Your smack dab in the heart of Wankel country and can't find a shop?
..speaking of "redneck trailer parks"..I LIVE IN ONE ..so far I have had FOURTEEN cars,I built them out of Nothing..and I still have two..
I had NO effin clue what I was into when I got the first car and I READ all I could from threads on this Forum.
Now I am addicted to Cars ..and Coffee from doing so much reading,But did I Give up?.Nope.
You gotta jump in with an "anything goes" attitude and take the good with the bad.
Not everything is gonna get handed to you..just like life..you don't get EVERYTHING..You get something..and SHIT too.
If you don't get answers then simply research it yourself ..Don't sit and whine that people are not agreeing with you when your not even sure yourself about what you are doing.
That is why you are asking questions, but you can't just pick and choose the answers that you want to hear.It doesn't work that way.

The best advice I can give ya is to just Cruise the ForumS..not just this one.(ya I said it.!).
Research more LOCAL avenues as you well know this Forum is Worldwide..and seeing that you are SO close to the Heart of Rotary Heaven it just seems that you are not even scratching the surface for shops close to you but looking Outside the whole country itself.
The only problem I can see is that there is Too MUCH info and you are having a hard time sifting through it...Punch in FD3S on the Internet..BOOM>.info...then refine info.
You can't blame members for giving you the gears when your knowledge of the car is minimal.
But at the same time it is hard to learn when you are already set on your answers.
Toss the crap, keep the Solid info and keep on truckin'..

By the way If you look at YOUTUBE you will find a guy named AARON CAKE That put up a really good video on rebuilding.I know that your space is limited but IF you Bought the car you take the good with the bad..and you Make room.
Good luck to ya.
