Have you cracked the format of the .hdl files? If so, would you be willing to share? I tried to figure it out a while back, but gave up and decided to use the printed logs for some log analysis software.

yeah the hdl files are easy, I have not released much information that I have gleaned playing with the maps and hdl files since I am still testing things and refining my own records. I don't want to accidentally put out flawed information that can put peoples engines at risk when they rely on it.

I will probably be releasing some documentation and source within the next month or two on the pengaru.com forum under microprocessors.

What did I just read? Your creating your own software to tune E6K 3D like every other tunable EMS...? Or is it just a more "modern" way to view the E6K data....no 3d mapping...?

The specific thread referenced in this thread is only about map viewing.

however, the ultimate goal is tuning software for e6 ecu's, that runs natively in gnu/linux... with potential for windows ports depending on demand. The software will likely be gpl'd (http://gnu.org) and I am looking into what license to use for the documentation I have written throughout this process which one could use to write their own software to communicate with the ecu's, expect something similar if not gpl.
