whats needed for haltech
 

is there anyone who has a list of everythign you need to buy when your getting a haltech?
is it better to buy a flying lead or terminated lead? and then you would get the map sensor, but what else is needed as far as sensors, connectors etc?

It's dependent on what car you're trying to install the Haltech on.

A complete kits usually consists of:
*ECU computer
*harness (flying lead or terminated)
*TPS sensor
*air temp sensor
*water temp sensor
*MAP sensor (choice of 1, 2, or 3bar)
*connector kit (if flying lead harness - this consists of all the crimp pins and plastic plug connectors [typically Packard/GM type weathertight], including [Bosch] fuel injector plugs)
*comm program on disk
*Haltech manual


The terminated harness makes it for a quicker and easier install, especially for newbies.&nbsp For those looking for a more nicer install and have a good grasp of electrical systems, the flying lead is a better (and cheaper!) option.&nbsp If you don't know by now, the flying lead harness is a wiring harness that has the big plug (connecting the Haltech) on one side and just bare wires on the opposite end - you need to cut-to-length and crimp/solder the proper connectors.&nbsp The terminated wiring harness has all the connectors crimped and wire lengths all set length.
