turbo map to NA map

I just installed my e6k on my stock S4 engine. I used one of hitman's TII Maps for a base map. I thought that this would just run it rich, but it will not run above an idle. Runs super lean if I try and rev it up. Anything I need to change for a NA? Does anyone have a better base map that might work better for me?

Thanks,

Paul

actualy wouldnt it run lean at idle like it is? Think about it, at idle the turbo on a turbo motor is one big resriction isnt it? which would mean you dont moving as much air or needing as much fuel? and then w/o a turbo in there your moving more air and needing more fuel?

the timing map will need some changes and if the engine is lean increase the fuel. I would suspect that mel is right that at no boost(N/A engine) the map will be lean since a turbo will be coasting at those MAP and rpm points. might need to develope your own map using the turbo map as a basline.

You might need to tweak the maps a lot to get everything optimized.&nbsp Most NA applications work a lot better in "TPS" mode versus MAP-load mode.

Ok, thanks. I guess the eazy thing to do would be to find a N/A Map; but I have never seen one. Can I run "locked" timing all the time? I did this on my old 12A; (unhooked the advance.) Thanks for all of your help. I'll keep you updated.
