Throttle bogging problem for E6K

Ok, I just recently got my engine rebuilt by BDC. And I finally got it running about a week ago. Here's my problem....Every time I go past about 1/8th throttle, the engine boggs and loses all power.(idle and driving) I can keep reving the engine as long as i dont go past about 1/8th of the throttle. I am running a haltech e6k with 550cc primaries and 1000cc secondaries. I had to increase the fuel about 20-40% just to get it to idle.(idles around 2000 give or take a little) I was told that the reason it was bogging could be because there was too much fuel being injected, but when I lower the fuel input it dies and wont idle. Can anyone help me? I have been off the road for a very long time and can't wait to get back on. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Tim

Anyone have any ideas of what is wrong? Anything like this ever happen to anyone else? or am I the only one.

You can use the "throttle pump dead band" adjustment to see if it clears this up, or its also possible that you need to adjust the "throttle pump settings", driveability can be greatly improved with correct throttle pump settings.

I will check in to that, thanks

I should tell you though, setting the throttle pump isnt very straight forward, its more of a trial and errod deal, i could help you out a little, i would need to see your map to change the settings, or i could guide you thought it.

alright. I dont have the map here with me. I have the one i am using and a few others in my car. I'll get back to ya. Thanks again

I think BDC offers haltech tuning services and he's in texas last I checked, since he built your motor you've probably discussed it with him? Why not have him get it roughly dialed in for you while you familiarize yourself with the process?

This happen to anyone else? -> I replied to this thread a while ago before anyone else did, my reply was there when I looked at the thread to double check it for major typos/errors and now it's gone, broke ass forum.

Haltech

first find out whether your rich or lean.

if you dont have a wb just go to a correction map and add a bunch of fuel to see if that helps or hurts.

did you just install the haltech? or did this problem crop up?

make sure your staging bar corresponds to your discontinuity in the fuel maps.

I think i'm running rich. There is a little blue smoke every now and then it will back fire every once in a while.(usually when i add more fuel) And BDC does offer tuning services...except he says lately he's just been to busy.

Carlibrating the TPS also affects the Throttle Pump settings, they should be checked after you do it.
