thinking about switching to an e6k
If I make the switch with my S4. What is everything stock ecu wise I can get rid of? If I could help someone with a t2 swap and set myself up with a standalone it would be perfect.

Hope you already got the E6K, as it has been discontinued a few years now...

Assuming that you do find an E6K (or go with an E6X if you can't), you can pull the entire wiring harness that runs from the stock ECU to the engine. The only thing you would have to salvage would be the wiper and cruise control portions of it.
Also, you can ditch the air flow meter (AFM) and the pressure sensor. If you aren't worried about emissions, you can get rid of all of that equipment and just block everything off with block-off plates. There are probably a few other things, but I've been without a stock ECU for so long that I may be forgetting some of them. ;) Good luck with your swap! Feel free to ask for help, assuming that you SEARCH for your answers first! A lot of the initial installation problems have been addressed here before, so you should be ok. Hey Ted, get some sleep! You're being cranky and unhelpful! LOL. Reese |
yeah, I'm gonna get a used E6K, because I'm a cheapskate, LOL
thanks 20B10AE, cool I guess I'll just rewire the wipers. |
