Tach work with e6k?

is there a way to wire a e6k to the stock T2 S4 instrument cluster tachometer? Reason I ask is because my tach does not work and I have a wire issue from my trailing coil to the tachometer I think.

thanks

No, not if you're using the toggle (for FC applications).
The AUX OUT is used for TOGGLE, and that would normally be the TACH OUT.

Any reason why you can't use the stock wiring from the trailing ignitor?
It's just a direct connection - you can just rewire it directly?

+1, the stock trailing coils should be running the stock tach. No reason to even cut the wire while installing an E6K.

yea I know the tach runs off the trailing coils, but it's not working. and yes the trailing coils are firing.so since my ecu is mounted in the car I was just going to run a wire from it if possible, to the tach. but sounds like I can't so I will just have to run a new wire from the coil to the back of the cluster.

It could be the coils. Ive seen a couple sets lose their tach output but still fire the plugs.

if your trailing coils are firing and you have a RPM signal off the coil it's self, then you either have a continuity issue in the tach lead which is the yellow /blue wire or there is something wrong with your instrument cluster

pull your cluster out and find the #10 pin on the C-02 connector(it will be one of the round connectors) the wire will also be yellow/blue. Using a multi-meter or test prob check continuity, if it doesn't have continuity then you obviously have a short in the wire. follow the lead thru the dash and fire wall until you find the short

And if there is continuity but the tach doesnt work, its possible that your tach assembly may have to be replaced if you still want to keep using it.
