sprint re question
I had a question about the ground sensor wire. My question is were does it go? I mean in the wiring diagram it shows it grounding to the battery then it shows it tapping into the trigger. Does it matter were it goes?

One labeled chassis ground goes to a chassis ground and the one labeled battery goes directly to battery ground |
Sensor ground goes to the battery. Rather important that it actually goes to the battery and not chassis. The points that are shown in the schematic where it's spliced into the shielding is internal to the loom. You do not make those connections, they're done already.

Not disagreeing, just curious as to why its important for the sensor ground to go directly to the negative terminal of the battery.

It's the true 0v source in the car. Every chassis ground will have some voltage offset and will potentially not be a clean, consist source for ground reference. Like everything, there are usually several ways to do it and one correct way.
