Rapid throttle tuning
 

Im having an issue with the drive-ability of my tune. I dont know how to approach this problem without dumping fuel and running rich in some places.

What Im experiencing is when I rapidly increase throttle for about 5% then suddenly up the car hesitates and the afr increases to 15 or higher. Im trying to keep the gas mileage reasonable but I dont think im too aggressive with the tune every thing below boost I have aimed for high 13s and 14.7 in cruising rpms.

When I slowly roll the throttle it doesnt have the issues. Any ideas. How should I approach this?

The base fuel map needs to be right first. Once you know that is correct, the transient throttle settings and map are what you need to work with. There is a great description of how to tune these and in what order they need to be adjusted in the manual. Hit F1 to access the manual.

S5 new motor street port. I can't even tell any more about the base map. I find myself constantly changing it. I know its right but the transitions are so bad.

Have you calibrated the tps properly?

Setup; tps; zero throttle- calibrate; wot -calibrate. My values are .63 volts abd 3.66 volts.

My ATS isnt reading below 32 degrees. That has to be a factor. Its 20 degrees plus the wind chill driving at 70mph.

No. The intake temp is always going to be above ambient, unless you're running an icebox intercooler. The temp sensor also reads true air temp. Not the made up wind chill numbers your local weather man throws at you.

Does the tps reading show 0% with the throttle closed and 100% with the throttle wide open with what looks like a linear sweep in between?

I know that the ATS doesn't show actual wind chill per se but the temperature reading didn't go below 32 degrees. With the engine cold the air temps should show the actual air temp which is 22 degrees right now. Should air density and the air correction table play a role?
