PS1000 GM coil harness for coil pack question
 

I was looking through ebay and found this harness

and if I wire the pins right Im hoping it would make using LS coils a little easier, just cant read wiring diagrams that well, pretty sure this is the harness, any thoughts?

I did this on Project OldTree's six ignition coils (because 20B). Since I got a set of 8 D585s from the junkyard donor truck, the original GM subharnesses and brackets came with them. They were cleaned up and re-loomed so all of the connectors face the same direction. Subharnessing your ignition coils like this is a good idea for serviceability. As you suspected, Pink is Ignition switched 12v, Black is Ground, Gray is Ground too and the remaining wire (red, green, brown, purple in the diagram) is the ignition signal wire. Refer to your PS1K manual for which wires are your ignition signals wires.

I really like this setup as Delphi Metripack 150 sealed connectors are very easy to work with. The subharness connector pictures is part# 12047933. Mating connector is #12047938. Rear terminal locks are 12066304 for both sides. Terminals on the subharness side are #12045773, haltech side will be #12048074 and you'll need cable seals (#12052924, suitable for 16/14awg) for each wire.

You can get connector parts for MUCH cheaper through Waytek Wire or Mouser Electronics than the second link. The subharness would be a smart buy though.

thanks for the quick reply, so a is engine ground, b is ecu ground, c is ecu signal, d is 12v power from ecu?

At the coils, yes.

At the connector that you purchased:
A is primary ground. Battery negative terminal is best.
B, C, F, and G are coil signal from the ECU. Does really matter how you wire that, you just need to know that Haltech IGN 1 = L1, IGN 2 = L2, IGN3 = T1, and IGN 4 = T2.
D is left open.
E is signal ground. That can be ECU signal ground or engine block works as well.
H is switched 12V from a relay and fuse.

There are several different types of coils used on the LS engine and many of them aren't worth a damn. What are you using specifically?

I got the 6.0 truck coils with the heat sink on the back

I have the same ones on my 20B and they keep firing no matter how much I've flooded it! ACDelco# D585 is the part number

i should know in a few weeks, LMS-EFI has the fastest shipping on the planet btw, of all the stuff i ordered, its the only thing that showed up so far and i ordered it on a Saturday, showed up on Tuesday after Labor day, amazing service.
