PS1000- E85 ignition - what to do..

Hey guys,

ive got a 13b cosmo block with a gtx40 that im building and controlled by a platinum 1000 and my question is what ignition are people running and what boost levels on e85..

Ive got the AEM smart coils like the pic below but have seen alot of friends go with the M&W Pro14r and msd coil with good results... Now yes the M&W is a CDI unit but is it worth the extra $1500 for the m&w and coils when the AEM are capabale.

My car is very light and looking to run 25-30psi max on e85 and running tripple walbro 460 pumps..

any help is appreciated AND if anyone using these coils and ps1000 what boost levels have you seen safe??

I would try them out first and see how they do. The GTX40 will probably run out of breath around the same time as the coils so it might work well.

On my old streetported, IGN-1A direct fire setup, I made 602rwhp at 28psi and more at 32psi but it was picky on if it would fire the mixture or not. I spent a lot of time troubleshooting but upgraded to the CDI when I built my Semi PPort setup as I knew the IGN-1A setup was at it's limit.

Thanks for your input Copeland..

Yes am thinking that as my car only weights 2095lbs i would be happy if it run 25-27 psi happily.
