Prime Pulse Setting

2 Attachment(s)
I was having issues with cold start and recently had issues with hot start.

Below are two examples of my prime pulse setting.

I added more fuel which seemed to help but not 100% sure.

Do this look to rich or lean? Can someone compare this to their map?

the prime pulse takes the longest to set up.

if the engine is warmed up, its not too bad, you start low, start car, add fuel, repeat until it starts easily.

the hard part is when the engine is cold, same process, but you need to let it cool down, and that ends up taking forever.

it should be whatever value results in the best starting. it will depend on the injectors you have, how healthy the engine is, and porting/intake/exhaust, altitude, etc.

it also depends, i think, on your coolant enrichment map, and the value of the cell that gets used while you are cranking, and the cranking timing

as an example, we have the equivalent map from the S4 Na ecu, but how well did that work for every car?

generally you will need much more fuel as coolant temp drops, i think the factory ecu gets up to 20ms at cold temps

Thanks, i realized this is super complex. I don't have the time to mess with it at the moment so i yanked out the haltech and went back to OEM harness and coil setup and installed PFC and she starts.

Scary to think that i plan on taking this thing to deals gap in 3 days. Need some more shake down time.
