please help!!! i need a map E8

i'm having my car tuned by steve kan in st.louis on july 2nd and need a map to get there.
i'd hate to trailer it back home after the tune.
so if any one has a map with this same setup..
please hook me up.
here's the setup:

13b-rew
haltech E8 v1.62
haltech wideband
ls1 coils
3 bar map sensor
850 primaries
1,600 secondaries
stock tps,coolant temp,air temp,cas sensors
t78

thanx in advance guys
tony

There is a map in the sticky that is pretty close

Gohan3rdrift May 29, 2006 02:22 PM

yup

i tried it but it wont rev nor can i drive to a tuner on it.
it stalls right out when i try to drive it and it fouls the plugs instantly.
i was looking for a smoother map.
like if someone already had one tuned so i can at least take it to a tuner to compensate for my exact setup.
i just don't want to trailor/flatbed it.
i not dumb enough to boost it prior to tuning so no worries.
just take it easy till i get there.

If its too rich, select all the bars and lower it 5-10 % using the ALT-P shortcut key. Im pretty sure you will get it to idle better.

Gohan3rdrift May 30, 2006 11:45 PM

it does but

it does idle a little better but it wont start back up when i turn it off.
same goes when i decrease the fuel correction for the coolant temp and air temp.
i can get it to idle at like 11.6 :1 but it wont start back up afterwords.
i don't know what to do.
any other ideas guys?

Try turning off all the correction maps.

Gohan3rdrift May 31, 2006 12:18 AM

tried it

same thing.
anything else?

what's rtfm?
ted. please enlighten me.

Keep leaning it out untill you get ideal mixtures, leave the correction maps alone and just keep lowering the bars. You never said what size injectors you are using so we're all guessing here without that little bit of info.

Also, what fuel pressure do you have it set to? usually these maps are fuel pressure specific, so, set it to around 40psi if its higher, if its lower than that, i would say you have big injectors. Either way post your injector size.

RTFM = read the fucking manual, Its the same thing I wanted to say but in all honesty I'm not that far ahead of you...

Gohan3rdrift Jun 1, 2006 12:47 AM

injectors

850 primaries
1600 secondaries.

and the manual doesn't help with injector compensation so thanks for the help ted
your my hero.
just tryin to get positive input to help get my car to a professional tuner.

back to the issue.
once i decreased so much fuel .... it starts to run leaner but really rough and eventually dies.
i've recalabrated the o2 like 20 times now and always with the sensor outside of the exhaust.

Gohan3rdrift Jun 1, 2006 12:52 AM

pressure

i forgot to mention my fuel pressure.
it's at a static 36 psi

I think you have other problems beyond simply being rich. Read all the recent posts that I have made regarding the timing, and verify that everything else is wired correctly. And if you still can't get it running good enough to get it to your tuner you could allways swap back to the stock injectors for the trip up there and swap them in when you get there. Of course the best option would be to trailer the car.

Gohan3rdrift Jun 1, 2006 01:13 AM

do it

i checked timing at least 5 times and i've done everything according to "hitmans" way
i know timing is good cause it reads on halwin and using the timing light.
i'll try the 550's tommorow and see if i can drive using them,
but if u have any other ideas....please share.
thanks
