oil temp sensor on e11v2?
Hello. I have an e11v2, and I have been searching all through the software trying to figure out how I am going to setup my oil temp sensor. I see the setting in auxiliary inputs, but I don't see anything in the drop down for extra oil temp, or any temp sensors at all.
Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks ~Tweak (also I have dual EGT's, but it won't let me set two of the inputs to EGT. Any idea how to do this? I'm slowly seeing how this ECU, although very featured, isn't quite as versatile as I thought. It needs a section where you could enter your own <if><then> statements.) |
i think oil TEMP is pretty uncommon, but there is a fuel temp, that would work, or there were couple more temp inputs that would work.

maybe I am blind? I don't see the fuel temp in the drop downs either.

Fuel temp went away with 1.89. I replied to your thread on the Haltech board. It's pretty shitty that they don't have oil temp. IMO it's pretty common especially in a circuit racing environment.

Just set it up as an undefined input, same thing could apply to the EGT, and use excel or other program to change voltage to temp.

hmmmm.. I hope they fix it soon. They have been making a lot of positive changes. It's weird that I (I consider myself a complete noob) actually found some limits of the e11. O.o I thought it was going to be some great amazing ECU, but it seems it's limits are not as big as I thought... maybe this is their way of making people upgrade to their plat. ecu.

As for what sensor to use, the coolant sensor haltech sells can also double as an oil temp sensor, ive done this on Air Cooled motors to get the engine temperature from.
|
yeah, the sensor isnt a problem, just ...getting haltech to display the results correctly. :/
