New E6X UPDATE! - Internal MAP Sensor
Hello all, im happy to anounce that the latest versions of the E6X have a built in 2.5 bar map sensor that is capable of reading upto 22psi. This means an even greater reduction in initial costs. You can always use any exteral map sensor available, 1, 2, 3, 3.5, 4 and 5 bar versions, all you do is select it in the software.
I will update the price on my offer in the for sale section i have here. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=436001 |
So, does that mean you run a vacuum hose to the computer?

Intresting.......so hose length dosen't affect the sensor reading?

Haltech advises that the hose be as short and as close as possible to the map sensor, but microtech uses this internal styled map sensor on their ECUs, haltech used to have these on the F3 and F7, even some factory ECU's used to have this, so im guessing response time should be virtually the same, specially if you have a dedicated inlet for the map sensor along and a good hose.

If anything, I'd think the longer hose would help damp some of the vacuum pulsation. The stock pressure sensor line (FCs, I assume FDs are the same) has a restrictor pill in it to help reduce some of the pulsation. Running without this pill leads to drivability problems. A longer vacuum line would, I would think, have largely the same effect.

so how do we know if the e6x we are going to get has this?
|
My Wolf3D had an intermal MAP sensor as well.
No problem with running a vac line into the car to the ECU. |

I have the internal map and I just recently ordered it from claudio.
I like this better than an external unit. |
