need help with e6k setup.
 

i am using a dell labtop with windows xp. i downloaded the windows dosbox win32 installer. i downloaded the d-fend v2. i opened dosbox and mounted my haltech program. it opened but wont connect. i change the serial 1 to directserial realport:com9 and it tries to connect but a screen pops up on the haltech screen and it says that i need a later version software for haltech.


also in the dosbox status window.. it says the following when i open the e6k program.
warning: file creation failed: c:/games/e6k/e6kv634/LPT1

what does that mean and what is LPT1? isnt that a port? i dont have anything else plugged into the computer.

Ah man, I just posted a thread with the same problem. Didn't see this one first.

I had to same problem ... So i went on WWW.TWEAKIT.NET download bootable file that works with windows .....an it works perfect....after you down load you gotta extract file an save it to floppy .... then load floppy into laptop then turn it on while floppy is in an it should start up in dos.....then click connect ...done...

You gonna see information on page...rite below its gonna say downloads ...bottom left of page....look for bootable with windows ...
