msd superconductor interference 16krpm
i have a ps1000 and im getting some high rpm noise. it will occasionally hiccup around 6krpm, and i checked the log and its hitting 8k and 16k rpm for a few datapoints.
my trigger filters are at 2, and thresholds start at 1V at idle to 2V at 5krpm. I am going to try upping the 5krpm threshold to 3V, which is what the haltech basemaps have it set to do you think it could be caused by running MSD superconductor wires? these came with the Sakebomb ign-1a kit. the dc resistance is only 150 ohms. im running resistor plugs too anybody else having trouble with these wires? thinking about switching over to magnecor 10mm R-100's, with are spiral wound also but supposedly has better emi |
It's not the wires. I use them a lot. FWIW, I always use the default trigger settings and 0 filter. I've never had a trigger issue with a Sport ECU on a car we've done the install.

i set the threshold voltage to that of a default map, and set filters to 0 and seems to work ok now

last weekend it refused to start, and rpm jumping all aover the place. i think maybe one of my crank sensors broke somehow, it was loose i can rotate the metal head. maybe that was causing the problems. ordered new sensors to try

i figured it out, one of the trigger wires had broken off at the connector. must have been hanging on by a thread causing the problems
