laptop is reading sensor values wrong

I have an 88 t2 running an e6x and halwin 1.25
I have been running the e6x for 2 weeks or so and the map reading will read 0 kpa when connected and with the engine off which is normal. A few days ago I connected the lap top and the map was at 1.1kpa and didnt change with the engine running. So the map reading was stuck at 1.1 while driving or even at idle. i disconnected and reconnected and it went back to normal, but it still does this every othe day.
I am using the onbord 2.5 bar sensor and I thought it may have failed, so i swaped it out with an extra ecu but it will still do it.
i called haltech and they said i could have a software problem and i am waiting for them to call me back after they call Australia

so no one has any ideas?
also my temp reads wrong, C is differesn from F
when i am 100 deg C and i swich it to F it reads 240 deg

i instaled the 1.26 software and it did not change anything the values are still reading wrong

POS Halwin software imperial mode. The water temp works fine in metric mode. Just learn metric ;)

The software is just poor and plain buggy. I mean, who wants to see vacuum displayed in negative psi? They are too lazy to use correct units like inHg.

My friend nik and I have found more problems with Halwin than we want to mention...we still use DOS.

The fact of the matter is that 3/4 of the world use the metric systems, including australia, so, their metric value conversions are mostly based on them, then after that they translate them. Its a well known fact that translated versions of ANY software will have bugs based on translating errors.

Sure, errors do happen, and that is why you have software revisions.

But, let's face it. 6X DOS can do metric and imperial just fine, with correct units. HalwinX's inability is just poor programming.

I'm sure it will be worked out eventually :)

there was several bugs in the halwinx software... i have found several one by one they seem to fix some of them in the revisions... but it seems that that are slow in comming.
But after my rocky road with my haltech being shipped with the wrong wiring harness. as well as a few bugs that seemed to be inherent... my faith in Haltech is fairly rocky... but alas I am still going to fight through it... I am stubborn that way!
:D

my correction maps on my e8 have the pointers stuck at 80*F, but the sensors are reading correctly.

go figure that one out...

One of the versions, i think 1.23, some of the correction maps did NOTHING. You could change the values of fuel air temp correction, and the afr would not change. The same map worked perfect in DOS software.

Other issues, the closed loop o2 cannot be initially enabled in DOS, or versions earlier than 1.25. Once you've enabled it in 1.25, you can now enable/disable it in DOS.

Even the dos software has funny "quirks", for instance, to get rotary trailing ignition map. You have to start the program offline, load a ROTARY map, then switch online. And now magically the options stay in the menus.

Though the quality of the ems is good, the quality of the software(at least for e6x) is very low.
