Anyone have any install pics? Trying to figure out how to mount this sucker :)

Here's mine. I made a vacuum formed plastic piece that conforms to the stock gauge cluster surround. I'll try and make a take pic.

badass install!

Another pic. You can see my mounting screws in this. Did this for easier removal. I always hated taking half my car interior apart to get to the cluster.

wish there was one like that for an FC, mine looks pretty ugly compared to that

He made his. I don't think you could buy one pre made anywhere. I'm still waiting to purchase my dash. To much on the go.
Here's one link here but there are also some on eBay and other websites as well. http://florida50.com/flat-panels.htm https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...1&d=1326127838 |
We make these as well except I believe we were selling them for $30. Black texture only. Also have a bolt together aluminum version that might work better in an FC with its flat gauge face.

Do you have a link/website? ***EDIT*** nevermind I clicked on your profile and got the website. I don't see the IQ3 mounts like the ones shown above for sale though? |

This is the dash before I painted it, for some reason I forgot to take a pic of it painted black.
Attachment 654429 Attachment 654430 Attachment 654431 Here is how I ended up mounting it. I scrapped the original idea of mounting it to the white cluster surround and mounted it to the gage cluster surround instead. This was done so I can control the placement and protrusion of the dash easier. The final goal is to be able to install the indtacter lights and warning lights back into the surround. I was just not able to modify it in time before DGRR. Attachment 654432 Attachment 654433 Attachment 654434 Attachment 654435 |
Any guide on how to get the speedo to works on the iq3 on an FD?
|
looking for same info, in my case im running the patch harness and believe signal is coming from pin 1M on stock harness but also believe stock speedo must be working in order to send the signal, and in my case my stock tach and speedo are not working.
I will probably have to run a hall sensor for speedo. |

I ran the oe speedo through the DPI on the haltech which has a speed channel and sent it to the IQ3.

thats coz you have the stock dash......so your running the stock dash and an iq3!!? |
Well after doing some research wheel speed sensor looks like the only way of two....abs sensor should work so I'm gonna give that a try if not then dra is the only other option
|
Wheel speed are VR as well. You need an A/D converter.
|
I'm not running the stock dash.
|
Will the MSD 8509 work as a signal converter with the ABS sensor?
I seeing some AEM guys using it to convert the signal from their ABS sensors. |
Yep.
