Install Settings for E6X
5 Attachment(s)
I've attached pics to help explain some of the questions I have.
This is for a S4 TII Is the Main Setup screen correct? Is the Trigger Setup correct (value will change for angle depending on motor correct)? Ignition setup - When locking the timing at first how do you set the degree to -5btdc or is it in atdc? It seems like the first two fields are also covered in the Trigger setup. Fuel Setup - shouldn't the fuel be set for staging? The CAS picture is the one pulled from the hitman site that i plan on using. Any other settings I should set before trying to crank it over? |
Stock igniton?
Set "ECU Mode" to "Advanced" not "Basic". In the 4th pic, set Trigger Edge to "Falling". Everything else looks ok. -Ted |
sorry,
stock ignition Am I correct in changing the fuel setting to staging? do you mean spark edge in the 4th pic? thanks a bunch :) |
Yes, it should be set to Staging.
Sorry, you're right - it's "Spark Edge". :) Spark Edge should be set to Falling. -Ted |
should the injectors be set at 4amp or 8amp?

I would assume 8A for low impedence and 4A for high impedence. |
Read your Haltech Manual, It gives you a good description about injector settings.

All i could find was
(windows help) "Injector Peak Limits The user can select either a 4A or 8A peak current limit for the injector." This didn't answer my question so I decied to dl the electronic version of the manual. Apparently Haltech did not put all the info in the windows help. I've read the the paper manual once but usually perfer the electronic help as I search. This was taken off the .pdf file • Injector Driver 4 x Two State Programmable Peak-and-hold current limiting drivers capable of driving at: - 4Apk/1Ahold - 8Apk/2Ahold The above current specifications allow the drivers to drive up to 8 x 2.2~2.4Ω injectors, 16 x saturation style injectors (High Impedance) or 4 x ~0.5Ω. CAUTION: Ensure software settings are correct since excessive current for long periods may damage injectors. There "up to" must mean the 8A setting. Unless you run more than 4 low impedence injectors I think you'll fall under the 4A setting. look like I need to set it at 4A as far as I can tell. |
Yup Bang on! See I told you if you read the manual there would be all the info you needed.
lol. |
I did read it when I first got it about 2mo ago....... LOL
then just been using the windows version and canned the hard copy. This isn't a bad deal that I had to dl it. Now I can search the manual (in the pdf) and the windows help :) Up until now though the windows help has done a good job. |
I guess you don't read recent threads. :)
Set it to 4A. The 8A is only for certain "motorsports" injectors that run under 2-ohms. I don't think any of the easily available fuel injectors that drop into the FC or FD go this low... -Ted |
