How to Install Old Halwin/HalwinX onto 64bit Machines!!

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Are you tired of dragging around an old winxp laptop? Do you want to be able to just use one machine for everything tuning related?! Then i have a solution for you!

I have recently come across a method of getting old DOS/HalwinX/Halwin programs to install on 64bit Machines. That means Win7/8/10.

Here's a very simple guide to get this done. I have this working on a Windows 8.1 machine with no serial port, and EVERYTHING works even DOS through DOSBOX.

Enjoy

You're welcome. jk. By the way, thank you Claudio for spending the time remote logging in to help me base tune the FC. Your customer service went above and beyond the call of duty and I greatly appreciate it. Thanks to your help, I finally got the ITB setup running.

To anyone that may wonder, this method does work. I've verified this and Claudio has remote tuned through my Windows 7 64bit OS.

Whenever I come across a project that needs Halwin I use one of these to install it:

Then if I ever have to do diagnostics on the actual boxes themselves I use one of these:

Seems to be the most reliable and effective setup I've found.
