help with e6k settings
 

i finally got connected to my e6k ecu. i had to use 7.17 software. the 6.34 didnt work. well i got connected and uploaded a base map. not sure if its a fuel and ignition map though. tried to start and doesnt start. do i have to change around the ignition settings and fuel setings. how do you setup the injectors. i wired everything according to bcd's blog.

what size injectors are you running on the primary rail?

What settings did you use, what engine is this, for v7.17 i think the Haltech needs to be its firmware updated, did you do that before hand?

What ignition components are you using, stock or other?

i have stock injectors, coils, turbo, fmic, corksport downpipe test pipe, gp sports dual exhaust. i didnt upgrade firmware, how do i do that? when i connect online, do all i do is upload a map and thats it? dont i have to change around the ignition settings and fuel settings? i just dont know what to set it to. thanks, chris

Then how do you know its version 7.17? have you gone online with the Haltech with that version of software?

Try downloading one of my maps on the Base Map thread that is closest to your engine configuration and mods.

i tried to connect with 6.34 and it said to install later version of e6k programmer. so i contacted haltech and they sent me 3 newer versions, like 7.07, 7.17, and 7.23. i tried all of them and all of them connect to the ecu( i can go online).

i just need help with fuel settings and ignition settings.

my injector trim and fuel mix is at 0.000 and 0% when cranking.

The 7.17 version is the dual map thing, right Claudio? I'd recommend using 8.14 firmware with the 6.34/6.34U version of the software.

That means no trigger or the injectors are forcibly turned off in the software. 0 RPM while cranking as well?

yeah 0 rpm. i dont understand the updated firmware versions. how do you update the firmware and how do i know what i have?

i need to know how to setup the fuel and ignition setups. i downloaded a base map from this this site.

0RPM is either a problem w/ the trigger wiring or how the ignition setup page is setup. What kind of map did you say you've downloaded?

do i set the main setup to 2 cylinders or 4 cylinders?

please help. i double check my trigger wires to cas and all good. i checked wires to coil pack and switched power-ok. could my cas be bad? still need to know how to do the ignition setup page and the fuel setup page and the input/output settings. thanks for all help.

hey claudio, did you get the 3 versions? if not i'll try send again. could you let me know what the ign and fuel settings should be at. i'll take a pic of the screen and post it up.

ok well i put evrything back together and reloaded my map and it started up fine. it idles around 1500rpm with 12% duty cycle, 2.352ms injection time, 0.4 inHg manifold pressure. the only thing is the mixture trim is at 0.00% and when i open the throttle it loses rpm and almost dies. is this from not having the intercooler piping hooked up?also i didnt zero the timimg yet. i gotta go get another timing light. well i still have more stuff to hook up.
