haltech TPS on cosmo pix?

Hi all. I was wondering if anybody has use the haltech TPS on the 13bRE or 20B type of throttle body? Any pictures by chance?

When I tried I couldn't quite see how it was going to work, and I couldn't get the shaft through the TPS itself.

Thanks

Here's a diagram to wire the original TPS to the haltech. Not sure if it'll help but eh whatever.

Hello. Yes I have that diagram, but after some testing I have found that my stock Cosmo TPS has a dead spot right at 14 till about 18 perfect. It really makes the car hard to drive. So I took the TPS off and tried to put the stock haltech one on, but didnt see an easy way to do it.

Hope that is more clear?

Thanks though.

i dont have either in my hands, but the stock cosmo tps is on that adaptor thing, maybe you can mod that, or fab something?

plan B would be another cosmo style tps. stock part number is nf01-18-911, but its electrically the same as the fd, and ive seen the cosmo style connector on protege's and toyotas...

hard to see it in these pictures... I ground down the stock RE backing plate and mounted the TPS to it, I also had to file a couple notches into the throttle shaft hole in the TPS to accept the T/B shaft

ok, thank you very much. I will have to take apart the broken stock TPS and see how you did it. Hopefully my blown e11 will get back from haltech soon. :)

I went searching for TPS's at the local wrecking yard, and I found one that was identical except the tps itself was 90 degress out from stock. I will see what I can do, but Im a little worried that possibly messing with my TPS could have blown my ECU to begin with.
(reason I would rather just use the stock haltech unit)

Thanks again!

awesome! that pretty much sums it up. I will put the haltech TPS on and not have to worry about it any more. :D

Thank!
