Haltech and o2 sensors
 

I know that the E6K can run a o2 sensor but what kind does it run? I was just reading the post about wide band o2 sensors in the ECU forum and there is a "wide band kit" you can make and was wondering if you could hook this up to the haltech for a more accurate reading. The sensor puts out a 0-5v, can the haltech reconize this or is it just made for the 0-1v?

You can use just about any O2 sensor for closed loop control. The stock sensor, or a 4/5 wire sensor will work. There are options to pick which kind of O2 sensor you are using so it can adjust the fuel correctly.

No reason to keep a wideband in the car when you are not tuning or really worried about your tuning. Wideband sensors are 5 times the price of a basic O2 sensor (which is all you need for closed loop control).

on mine i have two 4 wires, which is overkill, but i have one for the haltech, and one for the Greddy A/F gauge. but i think the Greddy brain box is fried b/c its not real close to the haltech 4 wire. the haltech can register like 400-500 at idle while the greddy says 8:1. but as soon as i get under cruise conditions the greddy seems to work fine? any ideas? i need to try and adjust the greddy gauge....thanks

Are any of you running closed loop with the O2? I have it off and notice no change in drivability. Maybe it would be a good idea to use it for idle to maybe 2000 RPMs?
