haltech fried?

the car leans out while having stable inj mS and ign timining according to haltech, and the afr are pretty linear say 13.5 on part throttle and then all of a sudden once in a while i will go very lean like 20:1 afr, i was quick to blame the injectors, but i swapped the primaries for a diffrent set, since those are the only ones working under light load, but that didnt do anything still leans out. anyone else have this problem? i am thinking the haltech might be fried. i doubt its the wiring also.

Does it matter what the TPS is seeing?
PD?

no that i know, i went wot once and it did it, so i didnt do that again, but all other tps ranges seem to be the same

just tried a diffrent haltech, its not the haltech i guess, the car still does the same thing.
its more like a spike then a lean out condition.

Got a fuel pressure gauge handy?
What kinda injectors are you running?

Told you it wasnt the haltech :)

whats the voltage like during this spike? is the voltage stable? Im thinking maybe your voltage goes higher and the batt volt correction is shortening the inj ms to compensate (too much)... just something to check.

definitely check fuel pressure, stick an electronic oil pressure sender on the rail and wire it to the e6k spare input, then you can datalog it.

voltage is stable. the datalog shows that everythying is stable.
dont have a fuel pressure gauge, that was my next thign to blame, but the car doesnt bog or hesitate, so i didnt want to blame the fuel. i am gonna test the voltage at the pump, then swap another pump in see if thats the cause. its easier for me then putting a gauge in, since i dont have a spare gauge at the moment.

checked the fuel pressure, its at ~42 psi all throughout, i am really out of ideas at this point

Running out of pulsewidths?

-Ted

inejctors are 70%, what does puslewidth have anything to do with this? its at about 4.5 mS
the fuel is there, i dono if the injectors are opening like the haltech sais, there might be a short in the harness i am thinking. or the ignition fires randomly. the odd part is that this problem is berely noticeble on the wideband at part throttle but at wot it happens pretty much always there.
i guess i have to pull the harness and check it all. ive heard stories about haltech harneses.
