haltech E8 "COM port in use"
 

whats up everyone, im trying to hook up my friend's haltech E8 to the laptop. hes wanting to install a basemap into his FC and im having difficulty. when i open halwin 1.89 i get the message "COM port in use".

i am using a serial adapter to USB connection on windows XP. i just need to know how to change the ports being used. i cant remember how to do it! if someone can help me out that'd be awesome, thanks!

Right Click My Computer, Manage, Devices and Settings, Com Ports
Select device, right click, Properties, Ports tab, Advanced button, Select port from Dropdown list.

Hopefully thats right, off top of my head :\
