i have a s5 turbo with 720cc secondaries, intake and rb turbo back.with stock turbo/engine.i have a base map for my mods.i mean theres a fuel coolant map, fuel air temp and just a plain fuel map..can someone tell me what these sections do and when to tune what?im not attempting to do this right now,i have the e6k demo and trying to learn so when if i have to take it somewhere i dont get screwed or if i decide to do it myself i wont screw nething up.installing haltech is no problem.just need some guidance..trying to learn little by little,i'll go into ignition tuning after i learn the fuel..i have basic knowledge on how engines work, worked on cars for 2 years now.

thanks.

If you're serious about learning to tune, you'll need to invest in a wideband AFM (obvious, and a costly purchase.) Round up as many books as you can find dealing with thermodynamics and engine theory. There are a few books in print that deal with engine tuning, though there is NO single definitive how-to manual to tuning. You WILL have to use your head and think a lot during the process of educating and enabling yourself to successfully tune your car without creating a lot of broken parts in the process. Whether you tune the car or somebody else does, there will be an investment in either/and/or time-money-intellectual labor on your part. You're doing the right thing by asking questions BEFORE you buy, though. I think you're on the right track.

Find someone that can sit and help, I tried the same thing you are trying, and by luck I didn't destroy my motor. I finally got a little help, and it made it a little clearer.
