Haltech E6K mind of its own?
Alright guys let me just start off by saying i appreciate all the help ive gotten so far..
I have finally finished the install and figured how to load maps and run the DOS Box on Xp well we went to fire up the car now and it turns on but revs up to about 4000rpm and dies out i triple checked everything and everything seems correct.. I used the maps off of Hitman's website as a starting point to at least get the car to idle and work from there but I am 100% lost and thinking about burning the car give me some ideas please! If it helps this is my setup S5 motor in S4 car 550/1600 Walbro 255lph Garrett GT45R HKS 50mm wastegate OEM ignition Thanks again TwEaK |
Haha, don't burn it! Checked your throttle cable? Maybe you have a massive vacuum leak. Sometimes when looking for tiny things to fix, you overlook big ones. I have tried all types of maps and did a lot of experimenting. I never had a problem with my car doing anything absurd like a crazy rev at startup.

It's revving to 4k because it's ingesting a good helping of air. Look for things like the throttle plates hanging open or a good sized vacuum leak.
Why it's dying is a little harder to tell from what little there is to go on. How long does it run before it dies? My WAG would be it's starting and, when the extra fuel from the prime function runs out, it's leaning out and dying. |
Well I've double checked everything and replaced all gaskets everything seems to be correct throttle plates are closed

ITS ALIVE!!!!! LOL been driving it now for 2 days THANK YOU GUYS!

What was the problem?

the LIM gasket was broken so i replaced the gasket double checked everything and she fired right up and idled about 1000rpm so cant complain been driving it around.. RUNS pig rich.. but im happy that i can drive it so no complains their.
Other than that the throttle has been sticking a bit but ill be removing the throttle body and cleaning the springs and putting a little film of grase on it TwEaK |
