haltech boost controller

Hey everybody, quick question.
i just bought the haltech boost controller along with a haltech e8/air temp sens/bar sensor. i have everything hooked up except the boost controller because i dont know where the two brown wires coming out of go too. what do i splice them too?

could you guys help me out asap cause i want to get it running today, it would make my day :).
thanks
mitch

the boost controler model is the haltech boost controller/ boost solenoid

The wires are not polarity sensitive. So one side goes to switched 12V+ the other to the PWM output you are using for boost control from the Haltech. Doesn't matter which one goes where. Your dealer should provide this information. ;)

sorry im such a n00b when it come to techies.
im just a kid, where exactly is the PWM? the instructions included are pretty bad and frustrating...
im kinda lost.

the two wires the come off the boost controller solenoid do the hook up to pins D(grey wire) AIR and pin E(blck wire) ground of the auxillary connector?

the instructions are pretty bad and this will really help me out guys. the haltech is a haltech e8 BTW.
thanks

HALTECH manual should have a wiring diagram in the back.

the wiring diagram is shat.
it doesnt show any PWM in it.. so i have no idea where to hook the two solenoid wires up to.
please someone help me.. or ill have to spend a shitload of money to get my car towed somewhere.

Hook the PWM output #1 V/W (assuming it's not already being used) to one of the wires to the boost control solinoid. Hook the other wire from the solinoid to a 12V switch ignition source.

No offense, but if you cant figure how to wire it there is not a chance in hell you are going to be able to configure it and tune it. It's not just a matter of hooking it up and telling it how much boost you want to run, there is much more to getting it to work properly.

For the record, Haltech's wiring diagrams are very good IMO. Or at least better than what i work with every day.

Good luck to you and when you start to configure it search this section. There is some great info in here if you are willing to search.

im getting it tuned at a shop

wow thats a nice wiring diagram i didnt recieve anything like that in my haltech package

true the wiring diagram is pretty simple, that is if your starting wiring from scratch, but im using the stock wiring with the plug and play e8. If anyone has done this before could you throw me a hand?

You have a PM. Easy S5 install tips for others...

The body of the controller is stamped with the 1, 2, 3 number for the ports. When you wire it up the polarity of the wires doesn't matter. One side will go to switched 12V+ and the other will go to the output from the ECU. The easiest way to install it is in place of the stock duty control valve which is located in the rats nest. It is fed by blue/white and black/white wires. Simply cut the stock connector off and wire in the boost control solenoid to those two wires. You can extend the wires and/or add a connector to make installation easier. The reason you use that connector is because the patch loom is already wired to that connector through the stock harness for PWM #3. In the setup software you will then program PWM #3 for closed loop boost control and set it up according to the instructions in the install manual.
