Haltec E11
 

For the longest time I've been hearing about a new haltech. I emailed them and they said to keep an eye out for around april. I talked to a distrubtor that has been keeping me posted becuase I did want the e6k but would wait for the release of the E11 and he just emailed me the other day to say the release time of the new ECU is near.. LIke weeks near. I'm not sure if they are fully release the ECU but I hope they are at least releasing full specs on it. Anyone else have some good info???

We haven't gotten anything NEW on the Haltech Support list.&nbsp Hitman is on that list, and that's about as good as any insider information into Haltech that I can find...

I was SURPRISED to see a recent Turbo magazine article that covered a recent PRI convention that mentions the new Haltechs.&nbsp Is this where you guys are getting this info?

I got it from HALTECH.. I emailed the support or sales.. forgot which one... And I also heard it from rpm of australia. I was goign to buy the e6k from him but when I asked about the e11 he says it will release sometime in april or so... DUnno the exact date Dunno if they will even release it on time... but the guy from haltech told me I should see something in april... And it's APRIL.. april's fool i guess,, :)

What sort of engine are you planning to run that would need an E11 compared to the E6K?

what diffrence does the engine type matter? even if its something that a E6K can run properly, isn't the E11 just supposed to be easier/friendlier to tune? this is the ecu that haltech is gonna use the windows based programing on correct?

I just bought a E6K from RPM, now i'm thinking about selling for a E11

i'm running this (if the price is good and if what haltech says is true about them) on ported 13b with t-78. E11 is supopse to be easier with the windows based program and built in wide band with self fuel mapping. He says not on the intial release but it should be added.. here is the letter he responded me with. He says april but it's april and I havne't seen anything yet.. typical i guess.

p.s. RPm is the same people I am talking to about the e11.. he says he sould recieve news of it soon.. thats why I held out on the E6k. He has been keeping me updated.. Pretty nice guy.

The rumors are correct, There is a new Haltech system just over the horizon dubbed the E11, Yes it will have an intergral Wide Band a.f meter built in, On initial release the self mapping wont be there but it is a feature we intend to add down the track a few months ... Keep your eyes on our website early April for that one.

is there a way to pass smog with haltech? i thought someone said they might be working on something that was emissions systems friendly

Haltech really has nothing to do with emissions (directly).
You need a (3-way) catalytic converter and an air pump at the very minimum.&nbsp I've head of guys passing with no air pump, but I find it hard to do this myself.&nbsp It's just a matter of tuning the Haltech lean to get it to pass afterwards...

If he was going to run a triple rotor I would understand wanting to hold out. The K can run any other rotor in any config you like.

If the only reason you are holding out for the E11 is the windows based software, I think you are wasting your time waiting. The windows based software you would assume will be made available for the E6K soon after the E11 is released. And if you want it for the self mapping, its not going to be released straight away anyway, so is it that important a feature to hold out for? For freeway cruising the self mapping is a great feature, but drag use? I don't think so.

Last I heard, the E11 even does jockstrap coolant correction...... :-)

The specs on the new ECU Haltech is working on are not released because even they don't know the final spec.

So the E11 isn't coming out any time soon then?
were are putting a 20b into our 323 and don't realy want to have to go Microtech then sell it to upgrade to E11 when it comes out.
B4 a shit fight starts we will use an MT12 as they will do the job of getting us through some drag meets until the haltech is released and they are a cheaper ECU to waste money buying knowing we will be selling it later.

Is the replacement for the F9

asi recall F9 is just for fuel control.. if it's replacing anything it would be the e6k as this is a full stand alone ecu.

I was reading my turbo mag and I found the article they were talking about the captions says "the F10 will replace the e6k"

You think Turbo magazine does not make mistakes? :)

RXTed, the 323 will actually be for my missus, haha, thats even scarier!
Its going to be a street car but built to race as well, 4 link etc, only mini tubs (got to have back seat for the rug rats).
Getting the car to some drag meets later this year is the main concern, not looking good at this stage.
But yes, it will be scary. I hadn't driven a 323 for a few years until I drove my brothers run about the other day (1300 still) and it kind of freaked me out to think of his car with about 1000 x more HP (its gutless haha) at about 600-650HP. They are very short and light so will be tricky. My brother has built a fully tubbed 323 as well, he just need to decide on engine now.

I cannot quote my source:) but two very famous racers here in the USA are getting the new Haltech to use. One of them is supposed to be using it allready and the other one runs a Mazda!:)
Now remember this is the same source that gave me the info about the new Haltech release long before anyone knew including Matt(The Hitman), Haltech USA and the members of the support list!:)
I also know for a fact that everything Haltech related is on a standstill/hold due to the death in the family.

I couldn't wait for the E11.. i went and got an e6k :D But i do look forward to what the e11 has to offer... I hope it is every bit what it claims to be..
