Half bridge-port ignition timing questions

I just rebuilt my stock S4 FC engine using S5 rotors and stationary gears & a half bridge. The car runs good, idles funky but is as good as before under load. I'm nervous because I'm running timing for a series 4 setup but now with the 9:1 rotors and bridge port I think it may be too much.

Anyone have any recommendations on a good timing setup that will be safe with this setup? I've seen Hitman's page about porting and he recommends 20 degrees of advance at 4500, as maximum...should I follow this?

Hitman's timming method is a little more advanced the what is reccommended here in states

From what i understand the fuel available is of a higher quality (just higher octane? im not sure) Never the less i wouldnt reccomend running 20*

ReTed will chim in soon enough and answer the rest of your question

Cool, thanks for the info. :) The one thing about the 20* that Hitman recommends, that may or may not be relevant, is that he recommends that as a base timing figure, and you can go up from there once its on a dyno.
