Same injector and coil drivers? Can't wait to see the pricing on these

C. Ludwig 02-02-17 04:57 AM

Yes. Same parts. MAP price on 1000 ECU only is $1329, long flying lead kit is $1614. MAP for 2000 is $1567/1852. About $150-200 less than the comparable 1500/2500.

I heard Haltech is coming out with an Elite that is a FD PnP in the near future. Any word on that?

16-bit ECU versions are already available. 8-bit is in the works. In the mean time, the Sport patch loom can easily be modified to support the Elite ECU. LMS-EFI also produces custom patch looms to mate pretty much any ECU to factory wiring and allowing installation of auxiliary I/O unavailable in the Haltech version.

Just use this?

Like I said above, 16-bit (S7-8) only.

I was under the impression there would be a direct PnP like the new Adaptronic units that don't need an adapter...

C. Ludwig 02-03-17 07:20 PM

No. I doubt it. The number of patch looms will be expanded but I haven't heard anything on more plug-in units being developed based on the Elite architecture. IMO PnP units aren't a really good way to go anyway v. patch looms. The patch loom allows you to easily add extra I/O without having to hack into the OE loom. There's just more flexibility.

Released! New Product: Elite 1000 and Elite 2000 | Haltech - Engine Management Systems

AU$250 cheaper than the 1500/2500 models which is great, particularly with the competition presented by the Adaptronic Modular models.

These 2 models seem to be the best suited Haltech ECU for most street driven rotaries than the 1500 and 750 since it has the boost control, closed loop idle control and you're not paying extra for DBW outputs (which can't be reconfigured as generic DPOs, at least not the last time I checked).

Choosing between Adaptronic M2000 and Haltech Elite1000 will be difficult!
